Living where we do in the Pagosa Springs and Durango, Colorado area, we throughly understand the need for hardy adaptable plants. As growers, we offer over 60 years combined horticultural experience, consistent plant quality, selection and personal service for both professionals and homeowners.

Our growing inventory includes carefully selected, time-tested plant varieties that thrive in southwest landscapes! Our mission “From Grower to You!” expresses our belief that locally grown plants benefit the environment with beauty and vigor while conserving energy and natural resources in production and shipping. Our cold hardy plant selection includes deciduous trees for shade, fruit and flowering ornamentals and evergreens. Container shrubs include xeric and native species, for conservation, naturalizing and erosion control. We also grow flowering ornamental shrubs, shrub roses and edible berries.

We practice environmentally healthy growing methods, water–wise conservation, and container recycling. At High plains Nursery we are growing trees for our landscapes today and our planet tomorrow!
